Buckie is a 12 year old male Labrador Retriever/Visla cross who is a hearing aid dog. Buckie once saved his owner by alerting her to the fire alarm and removing her from their apartment before it burnt to the ground. He alerts his owner to smoke/fire alarms, telephones, door bells, microwave beeps and timers. Buckie performs an invaluable service. Buckie developed cancer of the prostate gland and ACTSS was pleased to assist in the cost of surgery to help this special dog and his owner.
